EDENA Files Patent Application for Memory Control in Live Dialogue AI

Live Dialogue AI evokes awareness, imagination, and wonder — without capturing the user's attention through an immersive screen. It reuses proven "golden phrases" and generates only what is needed, when it is needed: dialogue in perfect sync, aiming to dramatically reduce AI generation volume and power consumption.

EDENA Inc. filed a patent application with the Japan Patent Office on July 30, 2026, for an invention concerning memory control in live dialogue AI (patent pending).
Human memory is not made of "what was said" alone. With whom we spoke, within what kind of relationship, and in what emotional tone — the same words can carry different meanings depending on the relationship with the other person. This invention retains the events that arise in a conversation together with the state of the relationship at the moment that conversation took place, and recalls them based on their similarity to the current state of the relationship. Could AI be given what is, for people, an everyday mechanism — remembering things together with the relationship they belong to? This invention was born from that question.
The invention also reduces the time and computational resources required to generate responses, enabling dialogue at the natural rhythm of talking with another person. EDENA will advance the use of this technology across its services, including its personalized AI agent platform My Mission Buddy™ and its voice dialogue service Voice Casting Network™.
To date, EDENA has filed nine trademark applications, including the registered trademarks EDENA® and ZENI® (zen'i — "goodwill"). Each time a spark of inspiration has taken shape — Koe-Isan™ (Voice Heritage), Yne-chan™, RaShiSaAI™, My Mission Buddy™, and others — we have protected its name, one by one. This is our first patent application, and our tenth intellectual property filing overall.

This work is ongoing at RaShiSaAI Lab.
